Everyone who gives to help another human being is a Philanthropist, whether it is one dollar or one million. In the United States 82% of all money given to non-profit charitable organizations comes from families with incomes of $60,000 and less. 71% of taxpayers file a short form, meaning among other things, that they receive no tax benefit for their giving. Yet seven out of ten adults give - in fact more people donate money than vote!
